I started the year at Momoya SoHo, and it was such a great way to ease into 2024. The sushi was fresh, clean, and beautifully plated—each bite felt simple but elevated. I especially loved the Momoya Box, which had a Chef Tasting of Mini Chirashi Bowls. The fish was so fresh and melt in your mouth. It’s one of those dishes that makes you pause mid-conversation because it’s just that good. My husband and son enjoyed delicious brunch sweets of Match Molten French Toast and the Soba Souffle Pancakes.
The restaurant itself has a sleek, modern vibe that feels sophisticated but not pretentious. It works just as well for a casual dinner with friends as it does for date night. I left feeling like I’d found a reliable go-to for high-quality Japanese in the city.
