Dining at Eleven Madison Park was something I expected to be extraordinary. While the plant-based tasting menu surprised me in the best way possible, the service lacked what I was hoping to get from a 3 Michelin star restaurant. However, each course was so thoughtfully designed, with textures and flavors that kept me guessing. It felt like an artistic journey more than just a meal. I just wish we were given a bit more attention from the servers as we were waiting for almost 45 minutes before someone came to even take our drink order. We constantly had to flag staff down to assist us, and we weren’t given the level of attention to detail I expected from spending nearly $1500 on a meal.
The staff did try to salvage our experience by giving us a special dessert experience in the kitchen where all the magic happens. And while that did help make this experience more memorable, I would say this was a one and done for me.
