Laser Wolf

For Mother’s Day, my sweet boys took me to Laser Wolf for dinner! For those of you that don’t know, Laser Wolf might be one of the most coveted reservations around, and needless to say, it’s been on my list since it opened! So naturally, I was super excited when we finally got to head up the elevator for my most awaited dining experience! As always, I review restaurants based on the atmosphere, service, and food and drinks. Hope you enjoy!

Overall Rating: 9.3/10

Atmosphere: A hidden gem in the Hoxton hotel in Brooklyn, Laser Wolf is an unexpected, yet breathtaking restaurant. The line started at 4:15 PM (even if you have a reservation), and people were lined up behind what looked like a garage door. At 5 PM on the dot, the door opens and the lobby host checks you in and guides you towards an elevator that takes you to the rooftop, where the restaurant sits. We walked out of the elevator, checked in with the restaurant host and were guided to our table, where we were met with sweeping views of NYC from midtown all the way to downtown. The gorgeous weather just added to the insane scenery. I was thoroughly impressed with the vibe and the views. It was casual, relaxing, and inviting, with positive energy swarming through the place.

Service: Our waitress, was one of the kindest, most informative, and patient waitresses I have come across in a very long time. Dining with a 11.5 month old isn’t always the easiest, but she treated us with the utmost level of patience and thoughtfulness. She was knowledgable about the menu and made some great recommendations. She interacted with my son, and continued to talk to and play with him after he reached out and stained her pants with his messy, food covered hands. And not only was she great, but every other waiter/server that was walking around the restaurant was willing to attend to us, even though they weren’t necessarily designated for our table. Everyone was smiling, positive, and energetic, and it was almost an infectious vibe that permeated throughout the restaurant.

Food/Drinks: Where do I even begin with the food and drinks? Everything was just so amazing! We started off with a cocktail called, Sour Patch Kidz, which was a tequila based drink that had this tart, sour, cherry flavor to it, along with a little sour patch kid for garnish. It was a fun and creative take on a childhood sweet, and we enjoyed it! Now for the food, oh. my. god. The way it works is, you order your entree, and you get all the dips/spreads, otherwise known as “Salatim”, included, and it’s unlimited. The Salatim was an assortment of spreads/dips/veggies, and they were all so delicious. It came with unlimited Pita bread as well, which were warm and fluffy, and my son fully approved of them! For main course, I ordered the Steak Shashlik, which was well seasoned, tender, and melt in your mouth. My husband got the Shawarma Spiced Cauliflower, and he said it was one of the best cauliflowers he had ever had! We also got a side of the crispiest french fries with tehina ketchup, and they were absolutely delicious! I usually never bring home leftovers from restaurants, because we never end up eating it after the fact, but I brought home every leftover dish in the Salatim, because it was just that good. We ended the meal with a Brown-Sugar soft serve, covered in a tehina sauce with sesame crunchies, which surprisingly, was very good and well-balanced. It was a great way to end a fantastic meal. I highly recommend taking the trip to Brooklyn to try Laser Wolf, and yes, it is 100% worth the hype!
