Blazin' Hot Margarita
This refreshing Blazin' Hot Margarita is perfect for a hot summer day or as part of your weekend BBQ!

- 4 oz blanco tequila
- 2 oz fresh lime juice
- 2 oz simple syrup
- 1 jalapeño sliced with seeds
- chili lime salt/tajin for rim
- ice
Soak 1/2 sliced jalapeño with seeds in 4 oz tequila for 15-30 minutes prior to making (amount can be adjusted to however many drinks you are making)
Dip the rim of your glasses in lime juice or water and then in the chili lime salt/tajin and fill glasses with ice
Pour ice, lime juice, simple syrup, tequila and jalapeño mixture into a shaker cup
Shake vigorously for about 30 seconds or until you feel the shaker get really cold
Strain drink into glasses, garnish with remaining jalapeño slices and lime wedge and serve!
- You can increase or decrease the amount of simple syrup depending on your sweetness preferences
- This recipe can be easily halved, doubled or tripled based on how many margarita's you are making
- It is important to make sure you use the seeds of the jalapeño when making this or it won't get spicy enough
- If you don't have simple syrup, you can easily make it at home by boiling a 1:1 ratio of sugar and water until it turns into a syrupy consistency
