This Fall take on a classic cocktail is perfect for the season!
It’s officially Fall and that white wine changes to red wine, fresh summer fruit changes to pumpkin and butternut squash, and fresh mint and herbs turn into warm spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. That being said, have I got a fall cocktail treat for you guys! As much as I am a wine drinker, I do enjoy a good cocktail, and the Fall has so many great flavors to use not only in cooking, but in our drinks as well! If you indulge in the occasional Moscow Mule that is usually vodka based, you have to try this Apple Cider Bourbon Mule! It’s actually based on a drink that one of my good friends shared with me. He’s big into cocktail creation and this one was definitely a home run, so I just had to share it with you guys! It’s so quick and easy to make and literally encompasses everything that fall is about (minus the pumpkin LOL). But if you’re looking for a good Friday evening drink to enjoy, or a fun Fall cocktail themed party for your next dinner party, this one is definitely it!
Now I know some of you may not be into Bourbon or dark liquor, but trust me, the flavors mix so well together, you won’t even realize that you’re drinking Bourbon! Now the apple cider does add sweetness to the drink, so if you’re not into sweet, I would cut back a little on the apple cider to fit your preferences. This cocktail only uses a few ingredients to make.
All you will need is:
- Apple Cider
- Bourbon
- Ginger Beer
- Lemon
Everything else is just for garnish or a nice to have! But it does make the drink look pretty, so you may want to add it! I hope you guys will give this one a try! It’s so delicious and easy to make! Happy drinking, friends!
